:: A Fairy Wonderland ::

Last weekend, I had the joy of taking photos of these three beautiful sisters as they played fairies in their grandma's backyard.

 It's easy to believe in magic when you're young.  Anything you couldn't explain was magic then.  It didn't matter if it was science or a fairy tale.  Electricity and elves were both infinitely mysterious and equally possible - elves probably more so.  ~Charles de Lint

"To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong." Joseph Chilton Pearce

I spent last weekend with wonderful friends who allowed me to do a photo shoot. We got a little creative and included some old chairs in settings that they wouldn't normally be found.  I love "natural" pictures, but sometimes it's fun to spice things up.  Sometimes I "fear" trying something new, but even if it doesn't work out perfectly, I've still gained experience and knowledge. I want to live a creative life.

We started in the woods.

 She is beautiful inside and out! :)

Then we went to the beach.

 Maybe chairs on the beach isn't the most natural pose, but it sure was fun!

:: Look Whooo's Turning One ::

 A HOOT of a 1st birthday party and the cutest ONE year old!

It is a blessing (and FUN) to be able to capture important moments in the lives of my friends. It also makes me very excited to have parties for my own children some day!

:: The McMurrys ::

I was THRILLED when Kate asked me to take pictures of her boys!  I love this family and so it was a pleasure spending an hour with them!  Her request was black and whites so here they are!

WILD flowers

My parents have always had a thing for wildflowers. I never really understood or really appreciated flowers in the "wild" (though I have always enjoyed receiving flowers) until recently. Now I can't seem to get enough!
My favorite part of last Mondays hike with Brian was sitting in these wildflowers.
Just sitting.
I loved soaking in the fact that God made this place. We went a little off the beaten path, so I also thought about how we may be the only ones to sit and enjoy this beauty.
It's like God created it just for Himself to enjoy...
and maybe me.
Sometimes we have to just be aware of what is around us. Amazing!

I now love wildflowers.
