... always a world traveler. I have a case of wanderlust. (Yes, an odd term, but the truth all the same.) I was recently talking to my friend Georgia who is going with her husband to Italy for three weeks! When I hear of friends and family's travels, I am genuinely excited and interested in their journeys, but it always seems to feed my travel-bug fire as well.
There is so much I love about traveling:
1) seeing new places and experiencing new cultures
2) the history and stories that places have
3) trying new foods and meeting new people
4) Capturing it all with my camera! :)
We never buy many souvenirs because I believe if we have some good pictures, those are the best souvenirs possible.
Since I'm reminiscing....
:: Cruise Ship Life ::
This is one of the BEST windows of which you could ever look out!
(This is taken in Bermuda... not my favorite place, but the cruise in general was amazing.)
:: Lisbon ::
This was my first European city and it was the perfect introduction!
It was a step back in time with all the modern conveniences.
:: London ::
The home of Harry Potter, famous "sites" and English speaking Europeans. It was wonderful.
:: Mont Saint Michel ::
Maybe I shouldn't confess this, but sometimes I forget the monasteries still exist.
Mont Saint Michel is one that you can only get to at low tide or by boat! It's beautiful and I could have spent all day taking photos here, but I only had two hours.
:: PARIS ::
My favorite city! That's why it gets two photos. :)
:: Amsterdam ::
The home of the original windmill,
not the wind turbines found across America today.
:: The Southwest ::
There is something special about a cactus.
:: Hurricane Ridge ::
The Olympic Peninsula has rainforest, waterfalls, ocean, and mountains!
:: Ohio ::
Home sweet home.
:: Columbia River Gorge ::
I love waterfalls. They never get old.
:: New Orleans ::
Both unique and beautiful...
(These wonderful folks help make New Orleans beautiful.)
:: Redwoods National Forest ::
These trees are breathtaking!
:: South Carolina ::
It was my latest and fastest trip but the purpose was to see my brother graduate
from Marine bootcamp. It was amazing.
Now the question is....
Where will I go next?
